system.db.dateFormat

This function is used in Python Scripting.

Description

This function is used to format dates nicely as strings. It uses a format string to guide its formatting behavior.

Client Permission Restrictions

This scripting function has no Client Permission restrictions.

Syntax

system.db.dateFormat(date, formatPattern)

Parameters

DatedateThe Date object that you'd like to format
StringformatPatternA format pattern string to apply. Refer to Data Type Formatting Reference for a table of acceptable symbols.

Returns

String - The date as a string formatted according to the format pattern.
