# system.opcua.removeConnection

> Removes an OPC UA Connection.

## Description
## Client Permission Restrictions
This scripting function has no [Client Permission](../../../ignition-modules/vision/vision-project-properties/vision-project-properties.md#vision-permissions-properties) restrictions.

## Syntax
`system.opcua.removeConnection(name)`

### Parameters
Type | Parameter | Description 
------- | ------- | ------
String | `name` | The name of the OPC UA connection to remove.

### Returns
**Boolean** - A boolean value representing whether the function was able to remove the connection. Returns True if the connection was successfully removed. Returns False if the connection was not removed.
