> Checks whether or not a tag with a given path exists.

This function is used in **Python Scripting**.

## Syntax
`system.tag.exists(tagPath)`

### Parameters

| String | `tagPath` | The path of the tag to look up. |

### Returns
**boolean** - True if a tag exists for the given path, false otherwise.
