The module descriptor, named module.xml, tells Ignition about the contents of the module. It defines which outside libraries are included and which scope they belong to, which module dependencies exist, and which classes implement the scope hooks.

An example descriptor file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<module>
	<id>com.company.module</id>
	<name>Example Module</name>
	<description>Describe the module here</description>
	<version>1.0.0</version>

	<license>license.html</license>
	<documentation>index.html</documentation>
	<requiredignitionversion>7.6.0</requiredignitionversion>
	<requiredframeworkversion>5</requiredframeworkversion>

	<depends scope="G">xopc</depends>
	<depends scope="D">fpmi</depends>
